Installation
 
Please make sure that your system meets the minimum system requirements:

  • Microsoft® Windows® 95 or newer
  • Pentium 166 MHz, 64 MB of RAM (Recommended: Pentium II 500 MHz, 128 MB RAM)
  • At least 200 MB free hard drive space (Recommended: 300 MB)
  • CD-ROM drive
  • Sound Card
  • Graphic Adapter with 16-bit color
  • Internet Explorer 5.01 or newer
  • Headset or speakers, and a microphone

The installation program should run when you insert the CD-ROM into your computer. If it does not, then do the following:

  1. Click Start
  2. Click Run
  3. Type X:\Setup.exe where X is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.
  4. Click OK.

Windows® NT: You must have Administrator access in order to install this program.

 
Patch for users of Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Vista

If you are running Internet Explorer 7 or Windows Vista (or both) please download and install this patch.

 
Problems with audio recording activities
 
If you are having difficulties running the audio recording exercises, an Internet Explorer security setting needs to be changed.

1. Open Internet Explorer 7 and click the Tools button.

2. Select Internet Options.

3. Select Security.

4. Select the Security Tab.

5. Click the Custom level button.

6. Scoll down the list and set Allow status bar updates via script Enable.

7. When prompted to apply the changes, click Ok.
